Join Government & Public Affairs in LEGO China
Government & Public Affairs is an important enabler of the growth and globalization of the LEGO Group. This is your opportunity to play a crucial role in in building and enhancing the position of LEGO Group as a responsible company by sharing our purpose, ambitions, results and expertise across the market in China. We work towards a favorable regulatory environment while ensuring no surprises to the operating model. We build goodwill and political capital with regulators, politicians, interest groups, NGOs and the local communities and establish the LEGO Group as a leader in the toy industry where we operate.
What are we expecting you to do?
Lead the GPA China team (5 FTR’s + the leader)
Overall responsible for GPA in China:
- Develop integrated GPA partnership strategy for the LEGO Group and strong partnership LEGO Education and LEGO Foundation
- Enable 2017 – 2020 Business Plan in China. Engage with China Market Group leaders to deeply understand how GPA can enable the business plan
- Stakeholder Management incl. advocacy, engagement activities
Regulatory Risk and Issue Management:
- Map, assess, manage and communicate legislative risks and opportunities and ensure effective transition of external demands to internal stakeholders.
- Take active role in toy and trade associations, which includes strategy setting and influencing direction on key industry issues.
- Lead the GPA part of the LEGO Group IPR protection activities.
- Policy analysis to inform the LEGO Group senior management of the development in China
Do you have what it takes?
- Experience from consumer products industry, public affairs consultancy, business consultancy, authorities or similar (10+ years)
- Global experience and proven ability to build strong networks
- Strong organizational skills and business development tool box
- Proven ability to analyze and transfer complex external knowledge to actionable internal use
- Proven ability to work independently and proven ability to set strategic objectives in the GPA area
- University degree at Masters-level in relevant area (engineering, political science, law)
- Advanced Mandarin and English skills
- Expected travel: 30 days/year
