Job Description

Position: Media Buyer(Senior Purchaser)
 
Reporting Line:

Report to: Purchasing Supervisor
Subordinate: N/A

General Responsibilities:
-Optimize vendor base, especially major commodities(includes Carpentry, AV, etc.,)
-Assist purchasing supervisor in development of a professional team

Detailed Responsibilities:
-Follow purchasing department's policy, planning, budgeting to work out detail working plan
-Manage and develop the existing and potential supplier pool and update the Approved Vendor List
-Research, evaluate and propose suppliers for key commodity, develop and optimize supplier data base
-Negotiate with local and international suppliers; prepare price comparisons; cost saving budgeting;
-Build and maintain cost structure for responsible commodity
-Complete frame contracts signature for responsible commodity
-Develop and recommend new material/equipment for stakeholder
-Monitor vendor quality performance, drive supplier continual improvement and verify improvement effectiveness
-Administration and reporting as necessary

-External – Suppliers/ Vendors, sub-contractors,

Competency & Qualifications:
-Competency Requirements
Communication: Excellent face-to-face and telephone conversation skills
Negotiation： Can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups;differences with minimum noise; Integrity and trust ：Doesn't misrepresent for personal gain. seen as a direct, truthful individual
Drive for results：Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully;

-Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills：Able to demonstrate success and experience about managing suppliers and contracts
Education & Training： University degree
Experience： Minimum 5 years purchasing experience
Personal Characteristics：Strong responsibility, self-motivated and can work under high pressure; Flexible, patient and solution-focused, open and outgoing personality
