To support the fast and sustainable growth, PEER China Service Center now invites high caliber personnel to take up the position of Product Development Manager. The position will be located in factory (Xinchang - Shaoxing, Zhengjiang) and report to Head of China Service Center.
Job Summary
Be a key management member of China Service Center; work with T2 Purchasing team and application engineering team for new business evaluation and development, and interface effectively with R&D Centre to get engineering services.
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will perform the following key responsibilities and other functions that may be assigned in the future.
1. Be a driver or member of T2 related business projects as assigned
2. Ensure CSC customer inquiry, quotation or T2 value-added offers are well-supported/matched with T2 products/suppliers in terms of prints, technical specifications and the respective validation process
3. Ensure T2 product failure risks are kept under good control regarding product application, QC standard setting & methodology against industrial norm/competitor references
4. Lead CSC engineering services regarding design, testing and technical assessment of T2 products/assembled parts, through coordination with R&D center or external service parties
5. Be responsible for T2 product standard development
6. Work with Commodity Manager to develop T2 product portfolio
7. Collaborate with Commodity Manager to manage New Product Development plan according to supplier base capacity
8. Understand market requirements by industry and by region and map it within T2 supplier base
9. Advise CSC QIC (Quality Improvement Council) on SQA and manufacturing excellence (raising the bar to selective T2 suppliers)
10. Acting CSC Training Officer role to mobilize available internal as well as external trainer resources to build ‘’a top of class T2 QC team’’
Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills
1. Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering (bearing, mechanical design or manufacturing etc.)
2. Proficient in English
3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
4. Good project management skills
5. Creative and team worker
6. Minimum 5 years bearing industry working experience
7. Strong experience in technical field with well-rounded knowledge of bearing application, design and manufacturing processes etc., especially in ball bearings (knowledge in SRB and NRB are plus)
