Position Description: ARM MCU Senior Support Engineer

Purpose:

The primary objective of this role is to provide technical support and training to customers and sales forces for the 32-bit ARM-based MCU product line.

Key responsibilities/duties:

1. Provide the technical interface to customers and sales force during prospecting, evaluation, design-in and post-sales phases. Develop related technical presentations.

2. Provide training and demonstration of products and tools to Atmel and distributors FAEs and customers. Develop training materials including presentations, hands-on practices and quizzes.

3. Assist Product Engineering in the analysis of field returns (FA and RMA).

4. Contribute to improving customer satisfaction and the Application Engineering team efficiency through developing and maintaining Application Notes, Frequently Asked Questions, AT91 portal, e-Learning Modules, Webinars, etc.

5. Contribute to ecosystem build-up through working with communities, universities, profitable and non-profitable institutions, business partners, etc.

6. Support marketing programs like conferences, seminars, symposiums, tradeshows, etc.

7. Understand customer applications and play a key role in feeding back market needs to the marketing organization.

8. Provide a consistent interface into other teams within company to ensure customer needs are met.

Internal – Local teams, Asian sales force, ARM MCU team in France

External – Customers, distribution channels

Requirements (indicate “must” or “preferred”)

Key skills & knowledge (technical):

1. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both Mandarin and English.

2. Must have practical knowledge of developing hardware and software solutions for embedded applications (C embedded programming).

3. Must be a self-starter with the ability to proactively propose technically competent solutions. The candidate must be result oriented and can manage time efficiently.

4. Preferred industry experience in semiconductors, embedded applications or microcontrollers.

5. Preferred willingness and availability to travel.

6. Preferred capability to work in an international environment.

Language skills:

o English fluent - conversation, reading and writing.

Relevant Experience:

Minimum 4 years experience in application development and/or customer support in a high technology environment.

Experience with customer interaction would be also appreciated.

Qualifications:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering
