Position: Field Service Engineer / Technician

The Field Service Engineer ("FSE") has responsibility for on-site installation and maintenance of company products. The FSE will be the primary initial after-sale contact with customers. The FSE will train customers, provide feedback on any issues and recommend potential improvements. The FSE will be expected to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical contacts and capture their feedback on related issues. The FSE will work fairly autonomously to assist customers in installation and service of various products and provide customer feedback. A professional attitude along with excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

? Oversees integration of products at customer sites
? Conducts tests to ensure product is working correctly
? Trains customers
? Troubleshoots installation problems
? Works closely with development, production and product management teams to continually improve products and practices
? Updates documentation of installations and specifications, maintains technical and customer documents
? Frequent travelling is required in mainland China

Requirements

? Education: BSc in Engineering or experienced technician
? Mechanically included with controls experience
? Experience: 5-10 years in commissioning, or installation of related equipment
? Experience with troubleshooting electro mechanical systems with embedded control systems
? Experience with CAN BUS is an asset
? Well organized, strong problem solving skills, and attentive to detail
? Customer service focus
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
? Ability to work effectively and professionally with various personalities and skill levels
? Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic setting
