Responsibilities

Coding:
· Robust and scalable web-based applications and backend RESTful services
· Create/improve tools for internal use, for example marketing/fulfillment/supplier configuration and management
· Build abstractions and contracts with separation of concerns for a larger scope
· Rapid proto-typing of new ideas driven by local needs
Architecture:
· Develop expertise of existing architecture of different components; propose changes as needed to meet local requirements
· Understand and account for implications of architectural decisions on real-time performance in large scale globally distributed systems
· Identify boundaries between global and local needs and champion reuse of components/services as appropriate
· Communication:
· Act as a bridge between local business partners and off-shore developers/architects to create/improve product, process and technology

Skills and Experience
· BE/BTech/MCA/MTech with 4-7 years of experience
· Fluency in C#, Java
· Experience with distributed enterprise systems, structured engineering, design patterns, and principles of software architecture
· Strong background in API/SOA design principles
· Track record of delivering applications and services in a fast-paced, multi-team environment
· Proven ability to work cross-team, capable of interactions with wide-ranging business partners across the company (marketing, customer care, manufacturing, global properties)
· Hands-on development experience with databases either SQL-based RDBMS or so-called NoSQL storage solutions (Mongo, Cassandra)
· Strong problem solving skills, data structures and algorithms
· Good command of English

Not mandatory, but extremely helpful:

· Experience in dynamic languages beyond Java, C# (e.g. Ruby, Python, Javascript)
· Experience with cloud service infrastructure and platforms (AWS)
· Experience with ecommerce systems
