Prêt à Pousser is a Paris-based company.
We design innovative products that allow people grow their own food, at home.
Our products are sold on the web (pretapousser.fr and Amazon) and in +300 stores in France. We
recently raised capital from high reputation investors based on an ambitious international growth plan.
Prêt à Pousser is member of the elite Smart Food Paris platform.
The sourcing manager will be legally hired by Polyflame Shanghai, functionally reporting to the
General Manager of Polyflame company and sharing their working environment. For day-to-day
operations, the sourcing manager will report to Prêt à Pousser’s General Manager Romain Behaghel
based in Paris.
2. Responsibilities
As a sourcing manager, you will be responsible for handling the company’s end to end purchasing
operations : from supplier selection to shipping of products.
Your responsibilities will be :
-Establish company’s supplier portfolio, partnering with trustworthy and qualified suppliers. Work with
an overall supplier qualification process : request for proposals (based on a quality and compliance
manual), sampling process, negotiating agreements…
-Plan and coordinate production resources for manufacturing products in accordance with calendar
established with Paris team. In charge of process from production to shipping.
-Ensure product compliance based on strict quality requirements (QC work in coordination with
Polyflame team).
-Constantly improve sourcing efficiency, analyse and optimize costs in view of other important factors
(quality, production capacities, reactivity , trustworthiness etc.). Benchmark company results with other
companies.
-Identify new business opportunities related to future product developments.
-Estimate risks and implement risk mitigation plans,
3. Qualifications & skills
? Minimum 5-year working experience in sourcing and purchasing responsabilities in an
international environment with a good sense of supply chain management
? You work independently, you are proactive and organized (multi-task and prioritize work)
? Proven negotiating skills
? Strong proficiency in English (can speak/read/write English), CET-6 or above
? You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management
? Experience in Electronic goods. a Plastic injection and/or mechanics background would be a
plus and highly welcome
