Role Description:
A Merchant Solutions Consultant at MM is a retail operations savvy and technically strong person that can work closely with retailers and brands to support them in on-boarding to our China mobile marketplace platform - MyMM. Platform on-boarding in this instance means enabling brands
to effectively load their product catalog onto our platform, perform merchandising, order management and customer services operations. This will often include supporting system integration with a number of business applications including ERP, WMS, PIM, etc and third party providers such
as 3PL warehousing and fulfillments operators.

Merchant Solution Consultants will work with a team of Merchant Solutions Engineers (developers) to build and support solutions that enable platform on-boarding under the direction of the Merchant Solutions Director.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, solution minded and execution focused person that can always think about the customer first and can effectively deliver quality solutions against aggressive deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have commercial experience in the retail technology or eCommerce field working for a system integrator, digital agency or consultancy business. Would suit a senior account manger or producer with a solid technical understanding, and pre-sales or development
experience highly regarded. Must have worked for external clients.

Role Requirements:
Must have experience / technical skills:
Commercial experience as a consultant in a IT professional services firm in the retail / eCommerce field
Deep understanding of project delivery and client technical support work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with extensive client exposure
Project management experience - ability to coordinate multiple client projects in parallel
Solid understanding of key business systems in a retail technology ecosystem including ERP, WMS, PIM and POS
Detailed understanding of retail related product merchandising (product data management including categorisation, attribute management, media management), inventory management and order management practices
Experience with ETL - extract, transform and load of data across systems and applications
Commercial system integration experience managing point-to-point integrations and middle-ware enabled integrations
Understanding of china eCommerce market places e.g. Tmall, JD, VIP, etc.
Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin

Creative & outcome focused - Must be able to find creative and simple solutions that deliver desired outcomes for our clients
Situationally aware & assertive – Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise, able to ensure their team is staying on track
Attitude of transparency – Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust

Desirable:
