Wolverine Advanced Materials is a leading global supplier of elastomer (rubber) coated metal. Our materials are sold to leading automotive brake friction companies as noise insulators (shims), and tier 1 & 2 powertrain suppliers in a wide variety of gasket and noise & vibration (NVH) damping applications. We also provide solution based noise shock and vibration (NSV) components to the consumer electronic industry.
Today we offer 65 available composites and more than 400 grades of chemically bonded elastomer and viscoelastic materials. These materials are used in an extensive range of sealing applications, including; engines, transmissions, power sports, hydraulics and refrigeration compressors. Wolverine brake shims, which reduce squeak and squeal in vehicles with disc brakes, are featured on approximately 35% of the global vehicle production.
