American Biltrite got its start in 1908 as a producer of rubber products and one of the earliest product offerings was friction tape, which positions us as one of the country’s first tape manufacturers. Historic Trenton NJ, once the rubber manufacturing capital of the world, was the birthplace of American Biltrite more than 100 years ago.
The Tape Division produces adhesive coated, pressure sensitive papers and films used to temporarily protect material surfaces during handling and storage or to serve as a carrier for transferring decals and die-cut lettering. The Division also produces pressure sensitive adhesive tapes for applications in heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), footwear, automotive, composite bonding, electrical and electronic industries.
