1.Position Purpose
a.Prioritization of supplier qualification needs in alignment to the strategic and project demands
b.Execution of supplier qualification audits, results analysis and communication to internal stakeholders
c.Tracking of supplier's action plans oriented to the qualification audit results
d.Identification of supplier's gaps and establishment of development plans with focus on management system, quality, delivery, waste reduction, design capabilities, product and manufacture controls.
e.Problem-solving / risk management
f.Data analysis
2. Management of Product Realization methodology applied by Suppliers APQP/PPAP
a.Supporting regional product development by the application of product realization methodology (APQP/PPAP) by the Asian supply base
b.Preventive approach to avoid launch disruption
c.Coordination of containment tools application by suppliers
d.On-site visits to ensure the APQP execution by suppliers
e.Feedback to internal stakeholders on supplier's readiness and capabilities
f.Supplier's manufacture process approval before launchby throught PPAP
3. Owner of day to day Quality issues resolution within the Supply Base
a.Support the regions on the tracking of action plans developed by suppliers for quality issues resolution
b.Development of supplier's 30, 60, 90 days development plans
c.Escalation process execution as a quality containment tool
d.Coordination of 2nd level containment tools application by suppliers (third party)
e.Support the regions on the quality costs reimbursement
f.Quality scorecard monitoring and use as a trigger for action plans development
g.Problem solving and data analysis


Qualifications
The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. an MBA, and /or formal Quality Management certification are a plus.
Relevant Experience:
1.A minimum of 3 years in a multi-national company (MCN) with demonstrated experience in technical competencies of supply base development, procurement, engineering,quality, and/or operations are required. Working knowledge of other functions such as project management and planning is desired.
2. The candidate must have extensive project and quality management experience, advanced knowledge of procurement principles, and supply base development procedures, plus extensive manufacture knowledge within the home appliances, automotive and electronics industries.
3. The candidate must be able to interface effectively with supply base and internal process partners. Must have proven communication, negotiation, persuasion and problem solving skills. The candidate must be able to travel to suppliers around Asia as needed
4. The candidate must have a strong knowledge of product and process development techniques (APQP/PPAP) and supply chain management and international standards (ISO 9000, ISO TS16949, VDA 6, OHSAS18001, ISO14001, SA8000, QC0800000 IECQ HSPM), preferably through contribution to new product launches.
5. The candidate must have a strong knowledge of operations techniques, and other quality and continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six-Sigma) and work with suppliers and other groups to continuously improving levels of performance.
The candidate must be fluent in verbal and written English and Mandarin and be able to work across culturally diverse environment. Fluency in one or more languages beyond English and Mandarin is highly desired. The position also requires the ability to communicate across all levels of management effectively. Strong, demonstrated communication and team-building skills are required. Intercultural/International experience is required.
Additionally, the candidate should have a good working knowledge of PC-based text processing, spreadsheet, slides presentation, and project management softwares.
