Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
? Graduate Degree or relevant work experience to work in QA
? Good understanding of manufacturing Quality processes
? 5+ years in Quality control, with an international consumer goods Brand, Retailer Quality Program or 3rd Party service-provider in QA or QC. Or 8+ in a QA/QC manufacturing Quality team preferably at a managerial level
? Excellent working knowledge of international Quality standards
? Ability to represent Woolworths well in meetings if required
? Good communicator with English and relevant languages, presentation and report-writing skills
? Good negotiator - ability to analyse root cause and assist priority solutions implementation
? Organised - able to work under pressure
? Flexibility to travel frequently, when required
? Proficient in Microsoft office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

? Ensure product safety, quality and ethical non- compliance are closed in accordance with our Quality and Ethical Framework.

Key Responsibilities:
? Implement the supplier compliance requirements detailed within the Quality Framework & Quality Risk Matrix to ensure product safety, quality and ethical requirements are met
? Join pre assessment visits for new factories being introduced
? Carry out inline inspections of products as requested
? Join audits and Pre shipment inspections as requested
? Visit factories to report on and improve products following customer complaints, Quality problem returns issues, withdrawal from sale and product recalls as requested
? Communicate and educate all suppliers and factories on the Quality framework for supplier compliance
? Escalate and resolve issues of noncompliance for supplier in accordance with supplier approval framework
? Following training approve and sign off Production approval samples, according to the Quality, Safety and Legal standards.
? Following training carry-out pre production meetings to ensure the factory staff have a clear understanding of the expected Quality level
? Advise, teach and help the factory improve their Quality standard
? Visits sites unannounced to ensure good production Quality is proceeding and it meets Woolworths Quality Standards and meets the approved sealed standard
? Review production capacity and report to line manager and or associated Sourcing colleagues if concerns are found
? Reduction in Supplier Breaches
? Reduction in Factory Breaches
? Follow up non –compliances found in an audit and ensure that corrective actions are implemented
? Ensure Woolworths Quality systems are in place at all stages of manufacturing ensuring and it is a safe factory environment in all factories visited under the Production QA specialist responsibility
? Be the eyes and ears of Woolworths on the ground in our factories
