Our client is a leading Russian retailer of fast fashion accessories including jewellery, bags and accessories. Due to their successful growth, they now seek an experienced Sourcing Director to be based in Guangzhou or Shanghai.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Set up sourcing office from scratch, act a legal representative, negotiate contracts.
-Manage daily operations of office and ensure budgets are adhered to
-Establish sourcing team of 3-5 people, by category (Costume Jewellery, Handbags and other accessories)
-Sourcing and Develop accessories vendor base in China
-Qualify factories to ensure technical and ethical standards are adhered to
-Negotiate payment terms and ensure sourcing team gets the right price for the right product onetime
-Manage production schedule for all orders ensuring on time shipments
-Lead team in product development, ensuring all briefs are interpreted right first time
-Initiate market intelligent and provide new trends, samples, concepts to buying teams
-Work closely with Russian Buyers to ensure strategies are aligned at all times.
-Minimum 5-6 years experience in fashion accessories Sourcing and Product Development
-Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin essential and English, Fluency in Russian would be an advantage.
-Work location can be Shanghai based or Guangzhou based.
