Our client is one of the leading Hong Kong based Apparel Manufacturers, with over 10 million garments production a year. They are a trusted partner for global well-known brands including Nordstrom, Giordano and Uniqlo.
Due to their expansion plan, they are seeking 2 X Merchandising Manager:
(1x US market, 1 x Japan market) to join their newly established Shenzhen Sourcing Office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Manage the production critical path between factories, Hong Kong Office and customers.
-Regular communication and meetings with production team to ensure on time deliveries, which meet quality standards
-Liaise with Account Managers and Buyers to escalate any risks to the critical path.
-Identify and present opportunities to reduce lead times and encourage supplier flexibility initiatives.
-Provide Account Managers with product costing to improve margins.
-Ensure all documentation is regularly updated from pre-production through to shipment.
-Review and improve performance of product, quality and delivery standards KPI’s.
-Minimise risk in the Far East supply base by providing information, identifying and assessing supplier and sourcing risks.
-Manage and produce the necessary reports to be aware of business forecast and current position

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
-University degree in relevant discipline preferred
-7-10 years merchandising experience, sound experience in woven product (top/bottom/outerwear), US or Japan market is essential
-Previous experience in Multinational Sourcing Office environment is essential
-Processes an understanding of the buying cycle and lead-time management
-Good product & technical knowledge
-Excellent communication skills
-Commercial acumen, strategic thinker, Leadership
-Good command of spoken & written English/Chinese/Japanese is essential
-Strong negotiation & influencing Skills
