Responsibilities:

Develops critical quality requirements based on customer inputs, implements checking and sampling procedures, trains and develops quality inspectors, develops and implements quality reporting, defect reduction programs and internal and customer driven corrective action programs.

Detailed Responsibilities:
? The QA Leader is responsible for both ongoing products and new products
? Lead responsibility for company Operations Manual, ISO and Social Compliance processes
? Existing products
o Leads efforts to reduce in-process defects and build quality into the product
o Investigate root causes of defects and work with line management to implement corrective actions
o Develop quality metrics on a process by process basis and for the plant as a whole, measure, report and work to achieve improvements
? New Products
o Analyze new product introductions to develop new quality requirements and to suggest methods improvements to avoid potential defects or failures (Design for Manufacturability)
? Supervise ongoing inspection processes through dedicated QI staff
? Assist in training operators regarding quality requirements
? Assurance related quality system running well, plan and implement internal audit
? Cooperation with outside quality audit and related department audit, improvement actions follow up.
? Responsible for customer complain and improve actions follow up till to close.

Requirements:
Ideal candidate is an experienced Quality leader with strong skills in thermoforming and plastic molding or closely related operations in China, ideally in industries serving food service end-users. Primary skill sets should include lean manufacturing, production planning and problem resolution.

Knowledge

1. College or bachelor above in Engineering or related discipline,
2. Fully bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese, plus Cantonese
3. 5 to10 years quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a western invested manufacturing company
4. Knowledge of food related quality requirements
5. Background in plastic molding and extrusions desirable
6. Knowledge of ISO and Wal-Mart/Target and related Social Compliance requirements

Skills
1. Strong experience developing quality standards, inspection protocols, sampling plans, reporting and corrective actions
2. Experienced in 6-Sigma, process improvement, lean manufacturing principles and process optimization
3. Skilled in corrective action processes
4. Capable of recruiting, training and supervising quality inspectors
5. Able to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
6. Computer literate including CAD, Pro-E, Solid works will be a plus

2. High level of experience with documented quality systems
