工作职责&要求:
We are looking for a Regional Research & Development Manager Fillings & Decors, based out of China (Guangzhou), the candidate will be responsible for technical support of R&D colleagues on Fillings & Decorations in our subsidiaries in China and South East Asia. The candidate shall be responsible for the support on the development (formulation) of fillings and decorations and transfer of innovations for subsidiaries in Asia. In permanent communication and coordination with the Business Unit Patisserie Mixes, based in Belgium, the candidate shall be responsible of the permanent review of the product range in the countries of the region to keep it in line with the strategy of the BU.

The candidate will be responsible for technical support of R&D colleagues on Fillings & Decorations in our subsidiaries in China and South East Asia. The candidate shall be responsible for the support on the development (formulation) of fillings and decorations and transfer of innovations for subsidiaries in Asia. In permanent communication and coordination with the Business Unit Patisserie Mixes, based in Belgium, the candidate shall be responsible of the permanent review of the product range in the countries of the region to keep it in line with the strategy of the BU.

KEY TASKS
1. Support local R&D in the different countries of the region on formulations of our fillings and decors product range. Support local R&D in new product development, adaptation, and documentation (40%)
* In collaboration with the local general manager, R&D managers, and sales manager, give local support and service in the different countries of the Region: China, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand (Korea, Japan and Australia)
* Support the development of local sales by means of tailor made product adaptation
* Promote the generation of innovations inspired on local or regional products or traditions; channel these ideas through the ADC (Asian development centre) structure to successfully translate them into sales
* Stimulate the implementation of the BU Fillings & Decors strategy into the region new product development; follow up the technology developments & innovations of Head Quarters and transfer them into the region; support and implement the training of our local R&D Managers; make sure that the local R&D managers have all basic competences to perform local developments in the area of fillings & decors (30%)

* Support all fillings & decors product range business development activities in Asia (Seminars, trainings, customer visits, trade shows, internal and external presentations). Work together with the local KAM to specially support very large international accounts (10%).

* Promote and implement the Values and procedures of the Group in all what is related to Total Quality (10%)

* Work closely with the sales and marketing departments in the region to better understand the market and to be proactive in the proposition of bakery products (10%)

The selected candidate:
* Combines the competences of FILLINGS & DECORS PRODUCTS KNOW. He/she can be specialist in a specific technology or product range because of earlier experiences
* Is a food technologist /engineer (University degree in food science or related disciplines) with at least 5 years experience in Patisserie R&D position
* Has the ability to formulate fillings, decorations (glazes) and/or other products alike
* Is analytical, team- player with very good communication/commercial skills
* Has a strong knowledge of food ingredients and their applications in bakery products
* Is business driven
* Is willing to travel often within the region (50% of time)
* Is fluent on English
* Is fluent on Mandarin and/or Cantonese
* Is fully familiar with windows office (outlook, words, excel, power point)
