NA Project Technical Manager

Essential Job Functions
? Responsible for developing and executing a plan to support business growth through cost reduction and new product development projects.
? Ensures the capability / infrastructure are sufficient to meet plan requirements, makes recommendations, drives continuous improvement and change
? Supervises staff to include hiring, training, managing and evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, career development and administering disciplinary action if necessary
? Ensures lab safety, intellectual property protection and product/regulatory compliance.
? Assists senior management with integrating an overall technology, science and product strategy.
? Proactively influences other departments on the necessary processes and procedures related to the success of the business unit relative to technology issues.

Qualifications
? BS and above from a university recognized for its strong education in chemistry and materials science
? 10 years min experience in coatings in industrial environment, preferably with a global company
? 3 years min experience in a leadership role, including experience building a team, coaching for successful employee career development, global and cross-functional engagement in a position of influence
? Demonstrated track record of significant achievements through individual and group efforts, including major program execution in a leadership role
? Good writing and speaking communication skills with fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
? Leadership ability to engage and influence staff and business colleagues
? Demonstrated ability to work effectively engaged the global research community and experience in leading a global research platform is highly desirable
? Demonstrated project management skills
? Good lab safety management
? Excellent record and experience with intellectual property protection
