Job Title: Operations Director
Location: Zhuhai PRC
Reporting to: Managing Director

Responsibilities:

Formulate short-term and long-term strategies and objectives for the Operations department based on the company’s overall business plans. Ensure co-operation across departments to attain the company objectives and promote sustainable growth. The job scope includes oversight of production, quality functions and engineering operations. The incumbent will be responsible for USD $ million in production revenue and the candidate must be able to provide leadership and direction to over production associates, quality staff and engineering and tooling staff. Develops work practices, coordinates technology transfer, develops and trains maintenance people, and documents equipment and utilities on an as built basis.

Detailed Responsibilities:
？ Lead planning, materials, manufacturing and engineering functions
？ Develop work and implement work practices including HSE
？ Lead efforts to implement lean manufacturing to improve throughout, reduce cost and increase quality
？ Lead the assigned design team (personnel development, training, and tools)
？ Assure proper training and HSE programs as in place for operators
？ Assure that schedules are met at appropriate quality levels and with effective utilization of material and people
？ Lead the effort of technology transfer in plant engineering relevant areas for both ongoing processes and new projects and installations
？ Develop/train newly hired Plant Engineers and skilled maintenance personnel
？ Work with internal design and contractors in all aspects of new equipment installations and commissioning of new equipment including HSE aspects

Requirements:
Ideal candidate is a seasoned operations manager with strong skills in thermoforming and molding in China, ideally in industries serving food service end users. Primary skill sets should include manufacturing, quality and engineering.
？ Fully bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese, plus Cantonese
？ Experienced in process improvement and machine maintenance/installation
？ BS/BA in industrial, mechanical or manufacturing engineering
？ 5 - 10 years operations management experience, preferably in a western invested manufacturing company
？ Computer literate including CAD
？ Able to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
？ Experience in lean manufacturing principles and process optimization Creative, flexible and able to inspire others to improve

？ High degree of integrity and determination to produce quality products
？ Ability to interface and communicate well with cross-functional personnel, co-workers and customers, with well developed communication & interpersonal skills, and strong leadership and influencing abilities
？ Moderate business travel
？ Ability to travel to other countries outside China
？ Good stamina and ability to work effectively under pressure and ability to work effectively under pressure
