JOB SUMMARY

The EHS supervisor takes overall responsibility for supporting local management to ensure the compliance of operations and activities with legal requirements of all levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

l Ensure compliance to EHS associated legal and group requirements so as to mitigate risks on business;

l Keep abreast and accurate understanding of EHS guidance and information from Group;

l Establish, maintain and continually improve an effective ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 management system;

l Routinely summarize, verify and report EHS data as required by Group;

l Suggest on EHS performance indicators and work with other competent parties to analyze performance for deviations and improvement opportunities;

l Coordinate to identify EHS risks associated with operations by using e.g. RA, EIA, JSA, MRA approaches, to routinely conduct evaluation activities, and to ensure actions are well planned and implemented;

l Support HR to establish and implement occupational health surveillance procedure and to ensure occupational health archives properly managed and updated;

l Build and maintain EHS communication procedure with external interested parties to handle relations with local authorities, neighborhood, medias, etc.;

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

l Bachelor’s Degree in safety engineering, electrical engineering, environmental science and other relevant areas, as a minimum;

l 3-5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing industry, expected knowledge of and experience on environmental compliance, occupational health, machine guarding, industrial hygiene, electrical hazards, hazcom, hazmat, special equipment, loss prevention, emergency preparedness and response, EHS training, etc.;

l Sound understanding of EHS regulations and precise attitude of legal compliance. Knowledge of other legislation, e.g. OSHA, ANSI, is a plus.

l Good knowledge of ISO14001/OHSAS18001 standards and auditing experience;

l Lean manufacturing experience is a good add-on but not a mandate;

l Good self-motivated and self-learning ability;

l 5% chance of travelling is expected.
