Key Responsibilities
? All aspects of counterparty research, including detailed analysis of financial and business information
? Identification of risks and mitigants in counterparties, specific trades, structured deals and other transactions
? Recommending internal credit limits for counterparties and approving credit limits to the extent of delegated authority
? Developing and maintaining relationships with counterparties through visits to counterparty offices and facilities
? Primary point of contact for credit related matters within and related to China/Greater China
? Establishing relationships and maintaining close interactions with traders, operations, finance and other key internal and external stakeholders
? Evaluation and analysis of specific trades and structured deals if required
? Assessment of credit exposures for compliance with internal limits and policies
? Jointly manage delinquent counterparties with Traders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Essential
? Degree-level education in a business or numerate discipline (MBA highly preferred)
? Minimum 5 years’ credit experience analyst) , gained ideally in a commodity trading company or bank or other financial institution, with direct China counterparty risk and credit assessment skills not limited to financial statements analysis
? Strong command of English and Mandarin, and the ability to travel throughout China frequently to visit counterparties
? The ability to work very independently and reliably with minimal supervision; a strong and capable self-starter
? Mature individual with an ability to assimilate large amounts of information, formulate clear views and opinions, and make presentations to senior management concisely and confidently
? Personal characteristics: a solid commercial view – a team player – driven and ambitious – hard-working and flexible. Able to take and handle responsibility. Resilient and enthusiastic. Unafraid to take views on counterparties and express these clearly. Enjoys challenges. Confident and effective communicator
