Clinical Systems Training and Support Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:
Take the leadership role in developing the HIS training programs. Ensure that appropriate HIS training programs are in place to attract, retain and develop the key personnel required
Provide training and education to super/end users in the use of Health information systems. Iidentify business needs and provide requirement recommendations in order to configure technical application solutions.

Qualifications
? Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience in a clinical setting. Applied knowledge of electronic medical records systems and clinical workflow.
? Previous experience as an instructor or Trainer of HIS and ERP systems.
? Desire to work in systems building /development environment
Experiences and Skills
? Excellent written and verbal English communication. Demonstrated ability give presentations.
? Sound knowledge of various health information systems
? Excellent understanding of data processing methods and procedures, and computer software systems in healthcare settings.
? Thorough understanding of the illustration / documentation of problem solving / continuous improvement techniques (8D, Ishikawa, Fishbone, SPC, machine / process capabilities, Process FMEA etc)
? Provision of creative solutions to operational challenges
? Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and man-management skills
Responsibilities:
? Lead clinical system training program development and implementation
? Be responsible to provide IT internal/cross training, set competence testing for HIS support team for a measure of knowledge and skills
? Be responsible for delivering high quality super and end users training of hospital information systems?
? Maintain detailed records of training sessions.
? Deliver standard and comprehensive training materials and user manuals, review and update on a monthly basis
? Manage user support, i.e. resource allocation, issue log and review
? Form user interaction and manage user input. Work closely with clinical and admin users to identify clinical and business needs, i.e. clinical workgroup must be formed, regular meetings (weekly or monthly) must be held and minutes taken, super users continuously trained so that they can provide input to this group.
? Continuously streamline clinical workflows. Communicate with cross section of interdisciplinary to ensure smooth and effective functionalities and workflows
? Provide regular feedbacks to HIS project management team
? Manage priorities and meet deadlines
