Duties & Responsibilities
The Receptionist main responsibility is to provide a pleasant, professional and
informative first point of contact for visitors and callers to QAIS.
  
－ Answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner.
－ Transfer calls, messages to the correct people/department, taking messages when other
parties are not available.
－ Record and forward appointments with staff members. Remind the relevant parties before the appointment.
－ Assist visitors and direct them to the appropriate staff member promptly.
－ Assist with parent email, SMS communication and Wechat group under the direction
of the Director of Communication.
－ Assist staff members in communication with external service providers.
－ Take care of entrance order, especially at the dismissal time after school.
－ Information/changes about school bus shall be forwarded to administrative staff promptly.
－ Arrange couriers when necessary.
－ Manage school TV screen, display rack at the reception area, ensuring all information is accurate.
－ Ensure reception area is clean, tidy and looks professional at all times.

Required Qualities
－ Have strong sense of responsibility
－ Self-motivated and able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment
－ Excellent English language skill (CET-6 minimum)
－ Excellent interpersonal skills
－ Excellent organizational skills
－ Excellent computer skills

    青岛美亚国际学校（Qingdao Amerasia International School, 缩写QAIS）是白珊教育集团（私立青岛白珊学校；美亚国际学校；白珊蒙特梭利教师培训学校；白珊海外教育中心【美国】）旗下四个实体学校之一自2011年经国家教育部批准正式成立以来，经过五年的发展，目前学校开设了18个月至18岁的各层次教育课程，包括学前教育、小学、中学和高中。目前已有来自29个国家170多名外籍学生在校就读，他们主要来自于美国、加拿大、日本、韩国、印度、澳大利亚、新加坡、德国、意大利、波兰、丹麦、英国、罗马尼亚、俄罗斯等国家和香港、台湾地区。
    幼儿园阶段，我们采纳了具有百年历史、享誉世界的蒙特梭利学前教育课程。从建校开始我们就申请成为了美国蒙特梭利协会（AMS）正式会员单位，在中国（包括香港地区）共有14家这样的会员单位，而山东省仅有我校一家。经过全体教职员工多年的努力、经过美国蒙特梭利协会（AMS）专家定期来学校指导，2014年5月我们通过评估获得（AMS）正式认证，成为中国、乃至亚洲第一所（AMS）认证的蒙特梭利教育机构。
    小学至高中阶段，我校采纳被公认为国际教育领跑者的IB国际文凭课程。IB教育区别于其他国际学校课程体系，即仅限于或美国课程、或日本课程、或韩国课程、或英国课程，IB国际文凭课程有着更广泛的国际性，基于培养“国际人”的教育理念，以探究为基础的跨学科课程，充分尊重和欣赏世界各国的语言和文化。目前，该课程是哈佛、耶鲁、剑桥、牛津等世界名牌大学一致承认的培养精英学生的高水平的国际课程，IB毕业生受到世界各国大学的青睐。
    我校外籍教师和及外方管理人员共计60名，其中教育博士5名，70%的教师有硕士学历，全部持有教师资格证书以及IB和蒙特梭利执教资质。
