Purpose of position
This project management position is dedicated to the improvement of processes and equipment
with regards to day to day production. It is particularly dedicated to the implementation of lean
thinking, lean projects and related practices in the manufacturing and other areas.
Responsibilities:
1. Train and coach internal customers in methods and concepts of lean manufacturing and
coaching in improvement methodology
2. Support the development and promotion of a world-class manufacturing facility through Lean
Principles
3. Establish and improve a flexible manufacturing operation system achieving the maximized
efficiency by using lean tools
4. Establish or improve an overall pull system in entire production starting from raw material
taking to the end of FG sent to warehouse
5. Establish visual management system on production shop floor including the associated
metrics definition and monitoring method
6. Promote continuous improvement process and establish and lead 5S project
7. Establish major step changes in productivity, quality and cost and control requiring the
implementation of new working practices throughout the organization
8. Update and standardisation of operating procedures
9. Be responsible for looking at alternative methods of manufacturing and support processes to
increase quality and productivity (manpower & machine) levels in all areas of the
organization from eliminating the wastes
10. Use standard tracking and reporting systems, to prepare detailed plans, drive project
performance and ensure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality and
savings goals
11. Assist in the resolution of supplier problems. Evaluate supplier capabilities, particularly with
respect to their ability to support a lean manufacturing environment
Additional Activities:
1. Working with other departments to identify the wastes and potentials for cost savings!

Requirements:
1. Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Art or above, majored in Industrial Engineering, Electronics,
Mechanics, Business or equivalent experience
2. At least 5 years or above of lean manufacturing project experience. Team Leader of lean
manufacturing project is a must
3. Has a solid understanding of lean principles, including: Waste elimination, Pull systems,
Kanban, Visual workspace, one piece flow, Flow production, Set-up reduction, Standardized
work, Variation reduction, Error proofing, total productive maintenance, design for
manufacturing, ergonomics and lean replenishment systems including supermarkets, buffer
calculations, line-side replenishment and level loading
4. Be able as an excellent coordinator to fully utilize the available resources. Ability to influence
and manage resource without direct reporting at the beginning
5. Proven ability in Change Management and Process management
6. Outstanding leadership, communication, presentation, training, team facilitation and
interpersonal capability, combined with an ability to work cross functionally and across all
levels and divisions of the organization
7. Excellent English and Mandarin, both speaking and writing
