职位描述：
Basic Responsibilities:
Supervises, coordinates, plans and directs engineering development functions as they relates to new products, derivatives, or design changes in existing product lines. Mentors/coaches engineers under his supervision and supplies technical advice to management.

Responsibilities include:
- Manages product improvements, cost reductions and special investigations in response to manufacturing or customer issues.
- Oversees new product development utilizing our 5 gate process
- Review plans and project objectives submitted by those reporting to him. Assures that management is in agreement with those objectives.
- Delegates and assigns projects to subordinates based on experience, knowledge and abilities
- Plans, organizes and implements programs and directives. Maintains surveillance over procedures to assure that sound engineering principles and adequate exploratory research is used to meet technical specifications.
- Assures that the departments goals/objectives are in agreement with the goals of the division
- Prioritizes projects to support division objectives
- Interfaces with Customers and Vendors on key issues
- Assures that subordinates are trained and following documented procedures and processes
- Keeps in touch with technical developments within and outside of the company and recommends action to be taken
- Assist supervisor with salary planning, preparing budgets and capital plans
- Supervises 5 or more subordinates

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- BS in Engineering required, Masters in Engineering or MBA preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- 15 Years of experience required in the design and manufacturing methods of motors. Knowledge in both induction motors and BPM is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills. Very good English speaking skills is a must.
- Ability to delegate and direct other engineers
- Ability to conduct and control meetings
