Job title
Credit Controller
Purpose
To ensure that customer credit exposures are kept within agreed limits in accordance with WSS credit policy.
Interrelations
This position reports to Senior Customer Coordinator and functionally to Credit Manager (NEA),
Main responsibilities
? Follow up of outstanding invoices with customers in China and Taiwan.
? Responsible for investigating delayed or missing payments with banks and delayed or missing invoices with invoicing coordinator, customer service coordinator or sales colleagues.
? Responsible for Collection Reporting, monitoring & reporting overdue debt performance, and escalating problem accounts in accordance with agreed credit procedures.
? Develop & maintain relationships with customers
? To keep respective Account Manager, Credit Manager and Customer Services Manager aware of key issues related to and impacting customer credit performance.
? To escalate problem accounts in accordance with credit policy
? To highlight & resolve disputed invoices
? To propose bad debt or write off/on in each quarter to Credit Manager.
? To follow up complaints/non compliances through improvement/complaint system in place
? Additional tasks if required
Accountabilities
This position will be measured against:
? Customer Credit Time
? Overdue debt percentage
? Agreed AOP and KPI’s
? Work process efficiency
Main Qualifications
? Formal education in economics/finance studies
? Minimum 3 years experience in credit control
? Good communication and negotiating skills
? Good analytical skills & attention to detail
? Excellent telephone skills – Assertive but customer friendly
? Ability to work independently and systematically
? Ability to work on own initiative and in a team
? Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities
? Fluent in English - both in writing and speaking
? Computer literate
