Senior HR Manager, China

Our client is an insurance & reinsurance broker and risk management adviser headquartered in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province in southern China. We offer a full range of products and services to corporations, government, institutions and projects across China under the legislation and regulations of the People/s Republic of China and the rules of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission.
Location: Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou
Report to: Regional HR Manager, North Asia, HR Admin Administrator, China
Job Responsibilities:
Implement China HR strategies to meet business requirements
Provide input into Asia Regional HR strategy to ensure alignment with business needs
Develop effective working relationship with local customer groups to ensure HR initiatives are well aligned to the business requirements
Identify improvement opportunities (eg. Outputs from HR analytics) and work with internal customers to identify, develop solutions and priorities delivery on people needs
Provide ‘best practice’ advice and guidance on HR issues to local customer group, HR team and HR designate within geography
Coach and support line management to ensure effective management of their people
Lead and deliver to the Talent Management, Career Development and Succession Planning agenda
Lead and/or support the delivery of HR projects to ensure delivery of global, regional and local HR and business priorities
Lead efforts in partnering the business
Source internal and / or external resources to deliver relevant HR expertise
Lead, coach and develop a technically proficient team, where applicable, to ensure the delivery of HR expertise to internal customer groups
Key Requirements:
Degree in Business, preferably with specialization in HRM
At least 8 years of work experience, with 5 years in HR managerial roles
Previous professional HR experience, preferably in sub-region
Experience in working with cross-functional teams
Experience of delivering effective solutions to people issues
Experience in managing HR team or matrix teams
