Responsibilities:

- Design and develop database driven web applications;

- Maintain existing client applications;

- Take ownership of numerous existing web applications as the technical lead;

- Mentor junior developers and assist in knowledge exchange within the development team;

- Participate in application design and code reviews;

- Create technical specification documentation;

- Contribute to functional specification documentation;

- Partake in initial project scoping and costing phases.

Requirements:

- 2 years and above PHP application development experience;

- Experience with Wordpress or Drupal development is preferable;

- Experience in all phases of project life-cycle (analysis, design, programming, testing and documentation);

- Exposure to OO Programming and development;

- Excellent database skills (SQL language, MySQL and SQL Server 2000);

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, CET-4 is a must and CET-6 is preferable;

- Excellent JavaScript skills;

- Good HTML & CSS skills;

- Experience producing functional & technical specifications.

Following experience considered an advantage:

- Experience with AJAX development;

- Experience with XML and related technologies (i.e.Webservices);

- Experience leading a software development team;

- Strong focus on Web Standards and Accessibility;

- Exposure to working with version control (namely Subversion);

- Unit and system testing experience;
