Due to a rapidly expanding market in China, Fisher and Paykel Appliances Limited will be setting up a WOFE motor manufacturing operation in Huangdao. We already have an enviable reputation for innovation in the design and manufacture of world-class premium appliance motors; we now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Engineer to join us.

What would you be doing?
- Supporting the efficient manufacture of motor products
- Ensuring that the factory is able to meet current production demands with an awareness of capacity and process limits and control points affecting yield
- It is expected that the role involves equal amounts of office and factory floor based activity operating in a semi-autonomous manner
- Daily interaction with line operators, maintenance technicians, line supervisors and QA personnel
- There will also be some interaction with Engineers in New Zealand

The manufacturing process comprise of, but are not limited to:
- Plastics Injection Moulding
- High speed metal stamping and forming
- Bobbin style wire winding
- PLC controlled automation
- Robotics
- High voltage test equipment

What does it take for you to come and join us?
- Proven success in a similar role in a high volume, highly automated, multinational manufacturing facility with no less than 7 years experience
- Specific experience of Injection moulding and/or high speed metal stamping and forming
- Knowledge of coil slitting process
- Bilingual written and verbal communication in Mandarin and English languages
- CAD/Solid Works
- Pneumatic and hydraulic circuitry
- Basic Metallurgy
- LEAN Thinking
- Six Sigma
