"Profit" is active in the fire protection market. Our core business consists of the purchase and distribution of groove couplings, fittings and other related products.

Profit, who already exist 8 years, actually has two departments: “Profit Europe” located in Belgium - Europe and “Qingdao Profit Logistic Company” located in China Qingdao Export Process Zone.

For our new China branch in Qingdao, just established and starting to be operational (currently already 7 people), we are looking for an:

OPERATION MANAGER

Job Description:
You will be responsible of managing our suppliers (currently one in the Qingdao area) to ensure delivery on time and verifying all specs and technical qualifications asked by our clients worldwide.
Therefore you will have a leading role in our organization and you will be in Qingdao “the” contact point and go between for our Chinese suppliers and our organization in Belgium.
Your first job focus will be on purchase, managing all technical data regarding the product specifications, warehouse management and quality control. In this role, you have to follow up market trends regarding products & technologies, important for the company.
Besides, you will gradually take over the responsibility of the daily operation and the managing of the rest of our team (administration, finance and general services) in Qingdao.

Profile Description:
You have a technical profile (engineer) and at least 5 years of experience in an operational or purchase job in a technical environment. You are analytical, critical and have proven people management and organizational skills. We expect a high level of accuracy, a “can do” and problem solving mentality. We expect you to add value by taking initiative. Experience in working together with a European company will be considered as an advantage.
You are able to assimilate a large amount of information (feedback clients, feedback market, technical information, research reports, market trends & statistics) and convert it into actions.
You are a team player, able to communicate with different parties (externally and internally in the company) and you know how to make contacts and build relationships.
Written and oral knowledge of English is really a must.

Place of employment: Qingdao Export Process Zone, Hongdao Economic Zone, Shandong Province, China.
