Description
IP Multi-media Systems (IMS) is a leading edge technology that prime to capture the enterprise market. IMS provides a platform for direct registration of endpoints, interaction with IP PBXs and supporting enterprise call scenarios. Bank of America is interested in the Alcatel-Lucent IMS solution and the NLT team needs an experienced test engineer skilled in understanding the IP PBX/enterprise use cases on the manner in which financial institutions employ the use cases and combinations.
Role includes
1. Define a comprehensive Software Quality Assurance strategy for IMS solution integrating 15-20 network elements.
2. Review requirements and design a specific network level test plans that fulfill verification of these requirements.
3. Extend test plan design to cover regression and implicit requirements.
4. Create E2E customer-like testing environment with 15-20 network elements and test functionality, capacity, reliability and performance from a customer perspective.
5. Document release notes that define the capability of the solution, the test architecture and the test results.
Required Skills
The following qualifications are required:
1. Rich experience in defining SQA strategy and conducting SQA campaign for a complex system.
2. Excellent understanding of Mobile/IP/IMS networking architecture including LTE, 3GPP, TISPAN and protocols including SIP, Diameter, H.248, etc.
3. Solid understanding about each step of a complex system/product life cycle including customer requirement analysis, high level product design, release strategy baseline, software development, on time delivery with quality, product improvement program and customer site issue support.
4. Strong knowledge of enterprise call flows provided to finance industry through Cisco and Avaya include call center, automatic call distribution, voice mail, voice recording, direct registration, surrogate registration, etc.
5. Expert at automation scripts for enterprise environment as well as a knowledge of the best tools to use for load generation. Strong debugging skills in Solaris/Unix/Linux.
6. Excellent knowledge at IP Network Architecture and routing Protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, RIP). Skillful at network design for IMS/enterprise and remote connectivity.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. Strong ability to work well in a team and mentor/teach other the expectations of enterprise.
9. Strong capability of self-direction. Strong spirit of innovation. A visionary designer for a continuous quality and efficiency improvement program.
Challenges of the Position include:
Review requirements and functional descriptions and be able to point out the problems and flaws before the design starts. Show leadership and assist in directing product evolution. Work within tight schedules with the ability to multi-task, identify priorities and stay on track. Communicate issues and drive their resolution within the product group.
