岗位职责

Plan, develop, and coordinate a system of medical record to attain institutional goals and meet standards of accrediting agencies.
Evaluate and revise charts analysis to ensure appropriateness of information.
Maintain liaison with medical staff and other personnel to ensure effective operation of the Medical Record system; help develop systems and methods involving any phase of medical record usage in hospital.
Develop and implement new departmental policies and procedures and ensure compliance with established standards; serve as primary liaison with clinic personnel to interpret such directives.
Manage and coordinate the established of schedules, task assignments, and allocation of man-hours to fulfill department commitments.
Plan and conduct meetings with subordinates to communicate new policies and to keep employees abreast of Clinic and Medical Records standards.
Provide education and in-service training to increase efficiency of operations and effectiveness of personnel.
Direct variety of personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, merit recommendations, promotions and vacation schedules, performance appraisals, transfers and dismissals.
Develop senior staff to be Assistant Manager
Coordinate correspondence with outside agencies, insurance companies, attorneys, and authorized parties.
Supervise the preparation of a variety of report and analysis.
Participate in a variety of Medical Records orientation activities.
Notify physicians of incompleteness, delinquent, lost, or revised records.
Supervise the maintenance, retrieval, and referral of all medical records.
Develop and implement a departmental quality assurance program.
Review records for accuracy and completeness and ensure compliances with established regulatory requirements.
Evaluate and recommend equipment purchases.
Supervise time and attendance functions; attendance guidelines.
Scan inpatient files into electronic format
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Working and coordinating with HIS team for the EMR implementation

任职条件

Bachelor Degree of Archives Management/Health Information management;
Medical or Nursing training background;
Minimum two years supervisory experience with medical record, or other analytical positions.
Oversea medical or nursing training (Preferred)
Multi-tasking.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel and Word.
Good training and customer service skills.
Understanding of cultural diversity.
English Proficiency in speaking, writing, reading.
Ability to correlate third party documentation requirements with reimbursement issues.
Prefer knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 Coding process;
Basic knowledge of current international and domestic laws/regulations/policies regarding privacy and confidentiality of health information; and medical record management;
Complete knowledge of any equipment used in Medical Record Department;
Overall knowledge of operation of medical record;
Basic knowledge of overall operation of clinic and hospital.
