Sandvik in Qingdao is seeking for a Process Engineer

Sandvik is a high-technology, engineering group with advanced products and a world-leading position within selected areas. The position would directly report to Quality Manager, below please refer to the job description:

Key performance areas:

·Create and release standard operation procedures for operations based on the technical/quality/safety specification and best practices and integrating the IE concepts into the SOPs to maximize the working efficiency;

·Process review for verifying all documents and operator behaviour following standard operation procedures or working instructions;

·Design and improve the factory layout.

·Establish and upkeep product library.

·Design and improve the production fixers/jigs/benches/machines and measurement instruments.

·SPM system owner

·New raw material tryout.

·New product/features introduction from Sweden Lab. Act as a bridge between sales and production to response/develop new product/feature according to customer requests.

·Competitor Product Benchmarking Report each quarter.

·Process training for operators and supervisors.

·Assist Quality manager on failure analysis basing on the daily findings or customer complaints, identifying trends and root cause, follow up action plan, progress reports and action monitoring, attending and follow up.

·Establish and manage improvement projects.

Your profile:

·Bachelor Degree in material science/Industrial / Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering and at least five years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

·Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in both English and mandarin.

·Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing practices.

·Knowledge and working experience in industrial engineering field, such as layout, logistics development, work study, capacity calculation and production line balancing.

·Knowledge and experience of project management is preferred.

·Demonstrated hands on problem solving and decision making skills.

·Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor production employees.

·Good communication skill

·Problem solving skill

As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
