Overall Summary:
The Field Service Engineer develops long lasting relationships with assigned customers, pro-actively advises on the condition of GEA-FS installed base, and solves technical problems experienced by customers. Promotes customer support products and passes on new equipment sales leads.
Main Responsibilities:
1.Analyze and solve technical problems reported by customers directly or through the helpdesk 2.Executes service orders
3.Perform the installation and commissioning of solutions, single equipment and parts as well as maintenance agreements
4.Pro-actively manage and drive customer support sales to an assigned group of customers (depending on Field Service Engineering skills)
5.Inform Key Customer Managers and Area Customer Managers on identified sales leads and competition info
6.Give input to budgets/ forecasts as required
7.Pro-actively interface with the Help Desk
8.Can be assigned as single point of contact for a customer
9.Can be assigned as Installation & Commissioning Engineer
10. Gives install base input about CFS equipment and competitors
Requirements:
Education: Diploma degree and above, Major in Mechanical & Electrical engineering is a plus
Skills:
1.Strong (technical) problem solving capabilities, good knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical, capability of reading drawings. PLC knowledge is needed, basic faulty diagnosis skills.
2.Good planning skills and ability to work independently
3.Good communication skills and conflict handling
4.Basic sales and people skills, good team worker.
5.Good Computer skills, familiar with computer HW&SW, MS operations and applications are needed.
6.Language skills:
Fluent verbal and written English; problem description and technical translation in English.
Experience:
Over 5 years' experience on technical support or on-site service, familiar with GEA-FS equipment is preferred.
Travelling:
Frequent travelling on site of customers is needed.
