This role will assume responsibility for overall Injection Mold development processes, including machines, tooling, process analysis, qualification and improvement with the objective of successfully releasing such tooling and processes into mass production on time, at yield, and with the expected output within the scope of new product development. This person will act in a supporting role, but is not limited to, areas such as work instruction development, operator training, EHS qualification, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Innovation
Provides innovative solutions to process & mold design in order to reduce product cost, improve product quality, and process efficiency

Mfg. Engineering Development:
(i) Develop molding process and conduct complicated mold design, communicate with Product Engineering (PE) to clarify design details in order to better understand the requirements and needs from customer.
(ii) Participate in testing and qualification of new mold in order to ensure the new tooling meet the requirements and needs from customer.
(iii) Participate in the supplier selection and provide recommendation from engineering aspect in order to control cost and select a qualified supplier;
(iv) Conduct analysis on production issues by means of various quality tools
in order to ensure new tooling and new process meet all the requirements

Product development
Understands product and customer needs, evaluates the manufacturability of product designs, provides process designs and makes recommendations in order to achieve optimized products that meet functional requirements and are well suited for cost effective manufacturing.

Qualifications

Diploma/Bachelor's degree
Major in Mechanical Design/Manufacturing
7 years work experience including 5 years tool design/manufacturing/engineering

logical thinking and analytical mind
Self-motivated
CAD software proficiency
English verbal and written communication preferred
