职位描述
Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that the site is continually in good operating condition. This includes all machines, equipment and manufacturing/ production facilities and support systems.
2. Plan, organize and direct the continuing daily preventative maintenance, and general plant overhaul activities during shut-down periods.
3. Determine ongoing need for and initiate the purchase of spare parts and maintenance materials for all machineries, instruments and equipment of the plants. Responsible for stock levels of engineering supplies and spare parts.
4. Supervise execution of minor capital projects. As assigned, control adherence to work specifications by contractors involved in mechanical and electrical work, masonry, plumbing and other craft work.
5. Manage the site utilities services (steam, water, electricity, heating) with own staff in accordance with production needs and general requirements. Control operation of electrical, water and sewer systems, boiler electrical transformer station, emergency power generator, water treatment plant. Direct waste segregation for recycling and disposal.
6. Supervise the fire chief of the site. Support the training of volunteers (site employees) in fire fighting techniques and fire fighting equipment operation.
7. Supervise contract workers performing landscaping, gardening, lawn mowing, snow removal, street cleaning.
8. Supervise training of new employees and apprentices in the engineering organization.
9. Monitor work performance of subordinate work forces, ensuring discipline and compliance with work rules, safety standards and orderliness / cleanliness of workshop, tools, and working areas. Make regular assignments; delegate responsibility and authority as appropriate.
10. Perform the necessary administrative work such as preparing activity reports, reviewing contractor invoices, processing work orders for cost accounting, compiling data for budget, etc.
11. Ensure that the activities of the engineering department of the site and site inspections (e.g. equipment tests, technical inspections) meet with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
1. Have a general engineering background (degree).
2. Must further demonstrate managerial skills, leadership and organizing talents.
3. At least minimum 5 years of successful supervisory experience in positions of Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Engineer (electrical or mechanical) are required.
4. A working knowledge of English is needed to communicate with headquarters' engineering staff on policies, principles and plant extension projects.
