Area of Responsibility:
Production Planning and Production Introduction of new products as well as the manufacturing technological supervision until phase-out.
In particular the following tasks needs to be fulfilled:
Participation in the product design to ensure that it is suitable for production
Advise and consultation of the product development concerning manufacturing technology
Planning and selection of alternative production concepts including material and information flow
Definition of work schedules and test plans with the target to reach short run-through times, low inventories (WIP), high flexibility
Implementation of IT compatible work plans for all materials, parts, modules and finished products for calculation, manufacturing introduction, and benchmark.
Introduction of new and modified products into the production.
Responsible for the selection and the monitoring of target fulfilment for all special manufacturing tools concerning functionality, quality, performance as well as costs and deadlines.
manufacturing technological supervision of the running production (parts, semi-finished, final assembly)
Planning and implementation of productivity programs (product and manufacturing)
Planning and implementation of measures to reduce extra costs
Calculate and monitor the capacity of all special manufacturing and testing tools (including replacements)
Planning and realization of investment (innovations, capacity expansion, replacement, optimization) according the budget of manufacturing and testing tools
Benchmarking of competitor products (e.g. differences in the construction, technologies, economy of scales, factor costs)
Overall responsibility of a product group
