1.Evaluates and improves manufacturing methods including work force utilization, workflow, line layouts, quality improvement, assembly equipment, and may also include machine maintenance
2.Improves manufacturing process improvement including routings and standards, labor efficiency, visual aids and work instructions, cost issues, materials, and other related improvements
3.Reviews product design and manufacturing processes for cost reduction and control.
4.Oversees the design of all production machinery necessary to maintain manufacturing operations at competitive levels.
5.Develops short and long term manufacturing, improvement plans, sets priorities based on strategic direction.
6.May participate in collective bargaining negotiations or manufacturing annual increase budgeting process
