PURPOSE OF THE JOB
I am responsible for ensuring that the supplying process in our store is fully integrated with the communication
and selling processes. I do this by working closely with my com&in and sales colleagues, securing that together
we focus on the same commercial priorities. I use my supply process expertise to secure that my team creates
excellence in the area of availability, balancing range & space, forecasting and ordering in my store, in order to
achieve agreed Service Level at lowest possible cost. I do this to strengthen the main objectives of IKEA to be
leader in life at home in our local market and achieve growth and sustained long term profitability.
ASSIGNMENT
Customers
*I fulfil the customer promises created by the communication & selling processes by actively working to secure and maintain the availability of goods through the minimisation of non-central shortages and the monitoring of central shortages. I raise the awareness of the commercial team to availability issues and work with them to take actions which minimise the impact on our customers.
*I monitor that the agreed range is offered and stocked in the store and properly administered in
system to ensure we maximise availability for our customers.
*I highlight deviations between the range frame connected to my stores range classification, Country range agreement and the actual range (size) to sales. I create an understanding of the impact on availability for our customers of working outside the range frame.
*I highlight deviations between the actual store range in relation to the sales to range to space and secure and understanding in the commercial team of the operational and availability consequences of exceeding the recommended range size.
*Together with sales and com&In, I plan for an efficient phasing out and in process, to secure range vitality for our customers at lowest possible cost.
*I support the execution of the phasing out and in process, led by the commercial team, by securing my team provides information regarding missing order and sales space parameters, expected sales start quantity and remaining outgoing quantities, as well as supplies availability information.
*I follow up the progress in the selling out of discontinued rest quantities and initiate corrective
actions in the commercial team, if needed, to secure a smooth sell-out and timely sales start of new items.
*I secure the timely registration of the needed order and forecast parameters in the system, to secure the agreed Service Level 365 days per year.
*I work with my team to support the commercial team and commercial activity leader with the
planning and implementation of sales plans (e.g. activities).
*I am accountable for securing that the operational forecasting in the store is in line with available capacities.
*I secure the analysis and steering of the ordering process by my team, to avoid shortage and overstock situations.
Commercial/Business
I lead and manage my team and work with the retail supply integration team to secure goods availability for customers at the lowest possible costs. I do this by:

*Being the expert on Service Level in my store and ensuring there is awareness throughout the store about how Service Level is impacted. I also secure an understanding of how an accurate inventory can be sustained through every day routines.
*Actively participating in the creation of the store business plan, and converting strategic directions and business plan goals into clear logistic actions. I take responsibility for executing relevant actions within this plan.
*Contributing to minimising the logistics costs in the store by identifying potential savings and initiating actions to improve stock and range structure (overstock, concrete, outgoing and activity range).
*Contributing to maximising the goods flow efficiency by ensuring that the operational forecasting in the store is in line with the order parameters and available sales space capacities/parameters. I address any need for adjustment with our shopkeepers.
People
*I provide an inspiring and motivating direction for my co-workers and engage them fully in the tasks of becoming leaders in life at home and generating sales growth.
*I create an environment where the IKEA culture is strong and where the diversity of our customers and co-workers is valued.
*I recruit my team through IKEA values by identifying what skills are needed now and in the future to achieve the objectives of their role. I also identify the motivations and capabilities that will compliment my existing team.
*I am committed to the development of my team. Together we develop their individual personal development plans to reflect their business and personal development needs. I support them in achieving these goals. I use commercial review as an audit and learning & development tool to achieve this.
*I empower my team by delegating responsibility to them to help them grow and develop, according to their individual ability and experience.
*I create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with my team, retail supply integration department in the service office and other colleagues.
*I secure the training of my team to ensure they are well informed, customer focussed, efficient, and are able to coach the commercial team.
