Purpose of the role: Overall responsibility for planning manpower requirements and shift patterns in line with customer and production targets.

Scope & Relationships: Production manager has overall responsibility for operations management in production area which includes production, quality, OEE, EHS (environment, health & safety), continuous improvement projects

Main Responsibilities:

1.Develop production objectives align to plant long-term direction, sets and/or improve overall policies and procedures to ensure effective manufacturing, quality control, safety, etc.
2.Lead production and continuous improvement project to meet quality, capacity, and productivity objectives and improve production on time delivery, productivity, working efficiency.
3. Work with the relevant global engineering team on certain project.
4. Work closely with R&D team to drive the new products.
5. Build high performing team and develop leaders for the organization. Motivate the manufacturing team to achieve standard process oriented operation. Establish stronger manufacturing capability.

Experience:

At least 10 years plus of work experience in chemical enterprises of a foreign invested company or a sizable state company with hands-on working style

Qualifications:

1.Bachelor degree in Engineering with Fluent English, master degree in Engineering or MBA preferred
2 .Strong leadership, people management, communication
3.Strengths and experiences to improve quality, delivery, ESH, etc. in short period of time and improve and/or set up all related procedures and policies
4.Very Capable of solving problems through analysis of root causes and improve the processes rather than “fire-fighting”
5.Able to prioritize among multi-tasks, keep good time management and delivery results under high pressure
6.Knowledge of product costing, manufacturing process standards development, flexible and conventional gagging practices and procedures
7.Skill sets in lean manufacturing and six sigma would be an added advantage.

Personal Profile:

Strong interpersonal skills are essential, must be able to influence and persuade others to point of view, and be an effective team player. Result orientated, able to identify clear objectives and meet them within a specified timeframe.
