Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) and Norway based EPC Contractor Kvaerner is setting up a Joint Venture engineering company called Kvaerner COOEC Engineering and Technology (KCET) in Qingdao/Huangdao. KCET will target engineering Oil & Gas projects for international clients and international Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects together with COOEC yards.

Responsibilities and tasks

Corrosion Control department within KCET are responsible for specifying and selecting materials and corrosion control measures for our offshore Oil & Gas projects. Typical areas of responsibility for this position are:

· Ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulations and client requirements

· Prepare corrosion management and material selection philosophy for the project

· Perform corrosion assessment and material selection study

· Perform necessary calculations to verify cathodic protection

· Prepare specifications for coating protection and cathodic protection

· Prepare project drawings and documents as required

· Establish Corrosion Control materials lists

· Perform bid evaluations and supplier selection for Corrosion Control

· Review and follow up Corrosion Control supplier documentation

· Assist discipline lead with tasks as required Corrosion Control / Materials discipline;

· Participate in technical design reviews / gate reviews of studies, tenders and EPC projects

· Review other discipline documentation and assist other disciplines in a multi-discipline environment

Qualifications & personal attributes

· Professional qualification at University level as Materials / Corrosion Control engineer, BSc/MSc.

· 3 years’ experience in the corrosion control detail engineering

· Experience from offshore projects is highly valued

· Multidiscipline understanding and construction understanding highly valued

· Fluent in the English language, verbal and written.

· Good communication skills

· Team player
