Our company has adopted a sourcing strategy aiming to secure internal resources to eliminate non value adding agents/ merchant middlemen and thereby get lower purchase prices and fully control the value chain from supplier to consumer.
You work in an international sourcing organisation where the Sourcing Director and Sourcing Manager lead the overall sourcing activity in Asia and the Merchandising Manager leads the sourcing in your own region. Your team includes Hard lines/ Soft lines Manager Asia, Food Sourcing Manager, Merchandising Manager, Senior Merchandiser and/ or Merchandisers and Assistant Merchandisers.
As Assistant Merchandiser you are an expert of purchasing administration and you shall support Merchandising Manager/ Senior Merchandisers/ Merchandisers in his/ her work.
You are responsible for contacts with suppliers regarding tests and item information. You also are responsible for the information flow works between the different departments and offices regarding item information.
· Merchandising administration and order follow-up for supporting Merchandising Manager/ Senior Merchandisers/ Merchandisers in his/ her works
· Secure Register, price and item information in our specific IT systems
· Secure that agreements are correctly archived
· Test management, contact with suppliers regarding test and item information
· Secure product information. You shall support Merchandising Manager/ Senior Merchandisers/ Merchandisers in his/ her product calculation and proof reading.
· Responsible for the information flow works between the different departments and offices regarding item information
· Communicate with Suppliers about samples, testing, orders and shipments
· Samples logging, packing and delivery arrangement
· Manage and Organise samples storage
· Communicate with supplier and Sweden Trade dept about shipment delivery schedules
· Work actively with seeking to improve yourself and gain further knowledge in your field of responsibility
· Prepare product information, Prepare samples, Send product suggestion
· Create TID’s after final product approvals
· Arrange samples from factories after purchasing agreement finalized and signed
· Process Novelty sourcing: Prepare and send offer sheets
· Packaging of samples sending to Europe and factories
· Prepare pro-forma invoice, packing list of samples shipments
· Merchandising administration work including new supplier registration, purchase agreement coordination, new product article registration and packaging artwork coordination
· Order follow up: packaging artwork, quality test reports and social compliance certificate, shipment booking and delivery schedule
· Data input in our internal system (CBX, PQM, Levnet)
· Open files, maintain the filing system
· Photo taking on samples
· Manage and organise the samples to be stored properly in the cabinets/ racks or store rooms assigned to each section
· Support to the whole sourcing department
· Occasionally travel and visit factories in the Asia region
· University degree in Sourcing/ Procurement/Garment production/ Textile Engineering/ Food Science or equal product knowledge based on working experience
· Possess minimum 2 years solid merchandising/ sourcing experience with related categories
· Preferrable experience in sourcing and buying environment
· Experience of merchandising/ purchasing administration
· Product knowledge in related field
· Proficient in MS Office
· Preferable in well known of CBX
· Detail oriented and accurate
· Strong communicating skills and Negotiation skills
· Strong problem solving skills and Creative
· Strong interpersonal skill as well as capability to interact effectively with all levels
· Hands on mentality
· Assertive, self-motivated and good organisational skills
· Structured and analytical
· Team Player, but able to work independently
· Focused and goal oriented
· Open for travelling, mainly in Asia region
· High level of responsibility and strong work ethics
· Excellent written and fluent spoken English and local language(s).
