General Summary
The engineer of the Technology & Business Development (TBD) of ABS Great China will support the Manager of TBD and work with Regional employees to develop business plans and new business opportunities, particularly relating to technology and improved product and services. It requires good working knowledge and understanding of ship structure and must have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as organization skills, and be detail oriented.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (PDR)
1. Study and be familiar with ABS Rules, Statutory Requirement, Flag & Port State Regulations, work as an Technical Expertise
2. Provide Client Consultation to solve questions on rules and regulations
3. Conduct Market Research & Technology Economy Study, keep an open eye in Marine industry trend.
4. Prepare and Write Technical Documents for both internal and external use.
5. Study and Research New Technology, Energy Efficiency Measures applied in marine products
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)
1. Bachelor Degree above with major in Marine Engineering,
2. 5+ years experience in Marine Engineering or Relevant jobs ,
3. Good communication skills with fluent written and verbal English
4. Open Minded and be willing to deal with people both internally and externally
5. Candidates with Shipyard & Design House work experiences are preferred.
