Abdoolally Ebrahim Group is a 172 years old company established in Hong Kong since 1842. Our group is mainly engaged in trading of housewares products. To cope with our business expansion, we are inviting high caliber candidate to join us as Business Development Manager.
Business Development Manager
Responsibilities:
1. Overall responsibility in identifying new business opportunities, distribution channel and maximize sales opportunities for the business
2. Develop the company’s business (sales) strategy through having clear understanding and analysis of customers’ needs and profile.
3. Proactively develop a continuous flow of sales opportunities for both existing and new clients and achieve a high hit rate
4. Explore and Develop potential NEW customers in different markets and cultivate business opportunities and relationship with existing customers
5. Analyze current market situations and competitive activity to identify development opportunities by generating active enquires and interest through active product/design offers to customer.
6. Prepare and implement annual budget/action plan to achieve the sales target, and drive sales activities to achieve sales goals
7. Analyze and understand the customers/market needs and tailor marketable product development solutions jointing with the product development team.
8. Stay up to date with product ideas and solutions and work closely with the product development to continuously strengthen the AEHL unique product portfolio.
9. Source and develop vendors with suitable capabilities to become long term strategic vendor partners.
10. Develop annual marketing and promotions activities such as participation in fairs and exhibitions, and actively participating in all the necessary preparation efforts.
11. Supervise and train up a team of sales executive and management trainee.
Requirements:
1. Degree holder in business related discipline
2. Entrepreneurial with key business development skills (not account follow up)
3. Experience in Kitchenware/Housewares products is a plus
4.10 years or above working experience in International Sales and new product development
5. Proven track record in training up sales staff is a must
6. Team player, independent, hardworking, self-motivated, proactive and detail minded
7. Strong business mindset with sales-driven attitude, and well-developed team management skills
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; good project management and customer service skills; good presentation skills and strong negotiation skill with clients / vendors
9. Fluency in spoken and written Chinese and English is a must. Knowledge of other European language is a plus
10. Occasionally travel overseas is required.
11. Position will be based in HK
