Project Manager, Design & Construction at Corporate Office in Shanghai, China.
Reporting to the Vice President of Design & Construction, this position is responsible for overseeing and managing the design and construction for hotel projects in China.

Duties & Responsibilities:
· Uses established project management processes to oversee the design and construction of hotel renovation and new development projects, identify key project resources, providing timely and accurate reporting while interfacing with designers, contractors, authorities and internal management
· Responsible for the management and coordination of technology, project scopes, management of contractors, budgets and construction
· Responsible for the initiation and ongoing monitoring of the Project Charter
· Plan and manage assigned resources to ensure successful (on-time and on-budget) execution for projects
· Ensure compliance with approved budgets and target completion dates using established forecasting tools and procedures
· Consult with corporate and outside project personnel to provide advice and to resolve issues.
· Working knowledge of all phases of project development and construction is required
· Contribute to the Design & Construction team in a collaborative manner to provide technical input into refurbishment, new build and acquisition projects as required.

Education & Qualifications:
· Degree or diploma in Design, Engineering or a related field
· 5-10 years of experience in Project Management and/or design
· Experience related to hotel development and hospitality operations would be a definite asset
· Working knowledge of various relevant computer software.
· Knowledge of design, materials, methods, and equipment involved in the construction of buildings
· Design or architectural background would be a definite asset
· Strong technical knowledge combined with a well-developed skill set in managing new development projects
· Highly developed English and Chinese oral and written communication skills are essential to achieving success in this role.
