Director of Brand Operations, Hotel Group

REPORTS TO:
CMO with a dotted line to VP Interactive Marketing - Hotels

SUPERVISES: Strategic Partnerships, Programming, Agencies and interns as needed

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Brand Manager will develop, plan & execute projects & initiatives that support overall brand standards, culture, & marketing strategy. Ensure the brand remains relevant to consumers and all initiatives support the brand promise.


S/he will assist with the development and implementation of strategic partnerships, promotional events, property collateral, in venue programming, and initiatives across the CHG platform that directly support and align Cachet Hotel Group. Brand Manager will act as brand evangelist, developing & leading brand orientations for both internal & external training and awareness purposes. This individual will create brand standards and the brand voice, as well as oversee production of brand promotional materials & in venue marketing collateral. S/he will lead research and development of brand products (retail items, OSE uniforms, packaging, sales gifts, in room amenities/dining, and FFE as needed) and to market.

S/he will be directly responsible for all property & investor related collateral, relationship management of design partners, company alliances, retail item & in room amenity partnerships, & music partnerships & approval. He/she will directly partner with Vice President, of Architectural & Design on the production of the CACHET brand book.

The Brand Manager will function as Project Manager to execute field interactive marketing initiatives within both existing and new properties. S/he will report into to the CMO directly on project managing of the following key initiatives:

? Web & Mobile Site Development & Content development and maintenance
? Photo & Video Partnerships, Planning & Production
? Agency Partnerships: Act as point person between search agency & creative agency to ensure optimal search marketing & search optimization on all CHG hotel websites
? Field Marketing Initiatives: Partner with hotel teams to create & execute packages & promotions. Both revenue generating promotions, and seamlessly branded experiential packages
? Identify partners to support brand positioning (F&B, Consumer Goods, Lifestyle).
? Develop partnership programs to provide enhanced experiences and marketing value.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to those outlined below and can be modified at the Company’s discretion:
? Communicate brand plans and strategies to hotel teams
? Play key role in successfully managing and growing the CHG hotel brand’s business in the Asia and international markets
? Advocate cohesive brand positioning and leverage synergies across the CHG platform
? Lead the brand planning process and collaborate with property & corporate marketing teams to develop strategic partnerships in-line with brand strategy and growth ambitions
? Direct the collaborative process of venue naming and logo development
? Production of the CACHET brand book.
? Act as point person between the Development team and creative agency in production of all business development related marketing collateral & pitches
? Oversee print ad production from production to implementation to ensure quality and timely release of artwork
? Direct all events & partnerships, from invites to gifts, for openings & transitions
? Define new retail market opportunities and products offerings, manage existing portfolio and establish product definition
? Develop and execute brand style guides, create the brand voice, hotel brand integrity programs and lead property audits on a regular basis.
? Spearhead the creation and evolution of hotel brands and their sub-brands, to include residential, resorts and international
? Give final approval on all internal branding materials and lead and develop hotel brand orientation & trainings
? Direct the creative development process for in-venue collateral & investor materials, acting as the agency’s contact by leading the ongoing development process, including creative brief development and vetting, brand books, idea assessment, production and delivery.
? Lead research and development of brand products (retail items, OSE, uniforms, packaging, sales gifts, in room amenities/dining, and FFE as needed) and to market.
? Lead creative teams in the development of all in-venue materials, including FFE, OSE, signage, and other branded collateral to ensure brand positioning is articulated.
? Oversee print ad production from production to implementation to ensure quality and timely release of artwork
? Work with the the Communications Manager to ensure brand message is consistent in direct publications, including e-publications.
? Work with the VP of Interactive Marketing to approve logos and messaging on the property websites
? Provide final approval of all high revenue-producing brand level and all-property multimedia projects, including enhancements and strategy.
? Establish brand objectives, and determine whether they are being met in campaigns and recommend needed adjustments as they progress.
? Attend events, conference and trade shows to represent the company, as needed.
? Analyze consumer trends, locations and information to help identify future sources of growth. Attend brand seminars.
? Develop the overall global brand strategy in alignment with business objectives from creative development through program execution. Work with the VP of Interactive Marketing to lead the development of global media strategy and plans.
? Create the brand's unique presence & positioning in retail and property spaces that serve to differentiate, engage and drive revenue.
Skills:

? 5+ years Hotel or Luxury Retail marketing experience.
? High level of professional interactivity skills at manager level with international associates.
? Good connection with network across different brands and different functional teams at headquarters, divisions and in the field.
? Able to build strong relationships to support the network.
? Balance of creative thinking and having an eye for detail (to handle marketing and standards)
? Proven project management experience that is result-driven and timely.
? Able to craft and negotiate agreements to provide operational and marketing benefits.
? Able to multitask at high levels to develop strategies, concepts and standards planning.
? High level of communication skills suited for different audiences– writing and presentation
? Analytical and strategic in thinking.
? Results oriented.
? Able to take the initiative and work independently.
? Organized, detailed and adheres to deadlines
? Understand concept of branding and able to build and inspire brand passion across the organization
? Live as a Brand Ambassador.
