We wish to strengthen our organisation with a Lead Architectural Engineer.

Responsibilities and tasks

Architect discipline responsibilities include providing solutions for personnel functionality, safety and comfort on offshore and onshore installations. Tasks include design, and procurement of architectural components such as walls, doors, ceilings, floors, interiors etc. in all areas of a plant, and design of Living Quarters (LQ), and supervision of LQ contracts. The expertise of the staff includes designs for fire and explosion protection, and layout studies in such areas as Central Control Room, workshops, and other working environments on the installation.

Typical areas of responsibility for this position are:

· Lead, supervise or follow-up Architect discipline design engineering for offshore and onshore projects EPC projects.

· Lead, supervise or follow-up Architect design work performed by 3rd party and/or subcontractors.

· Plan, prioritise and coordinate Architect discipline and liaise with other disciplines; report progress

· Actively participate in the detail engineering of Architectural scope, Architectural layout and design

· Perform Living Quarters design, specification and supervision as required according to project SoW

· Central Control Room architectural layouts

· Specification and technical procurement of weather/blast protection, doors, insulation, platform signs and marking

· Participate in technical design reviews / gate reviews of studies, tenders and EPC projects

· Review other discipline documentation and liaise with other disciplines in a multi-discipline environment

Qualifications & personal attributes

· Professional qualification at University level as Architect or Engineer, BSc/MSc.

· 10 years’ experience and expert knowledge of Architectural engineering in off- and/or onshore oil and gas projects.

· Experience as discipline lead from more than one project

· Experience from large project 8,000+ tons

· Experience from international projects where international clients have been partners in development;

· Multidiscipline understanding and construction understanding.

· Fluent in the English language, verbal and written.

· Good communication skills
