Responsibilities and tasks

· Lead and participate in Electrical engineering for Concept studies, FEED studies and Engineering for offshore and onshore EPC projects

· Electrical Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) on Kvaerner’s Procurement Management team for our EPC projects

· Lead, supervise or follow-up Electrical design work performed by subcontractors.

· Perform initial selection of electrical items including large electrical motor drives and transformers/converters in conceptual design phase

· Participate in technical design reviews / gate reviews of studies, tenders and EPC projects

· Participate in technology development projects

· Tasks may include depending on qualifications and interests: Discipline management and planning of Electrical activities; Electrical design for topside structures for jackets, floating offshore platforms and onshore plants; use of advanced engineering tools for design, simulation and analysis; supervision of subcontractors; PRE activities; liaison with other disciplines in a multi-discipline environment; follow-up of engineering and fabrication

Qualifications and personal attributes
? Professional qualification as Electrical Engineer e.g. graduate Engineer, BSc, MSc. or Dr Engineer, PhD, with minimum 15 years of relevant experience

? Multi-discipline understanding is mandatory

? Experience from Electrical engineering in off- and/or onshore oil and gas projects is mandatory

? Experience with Factory/Site Acceptance Tests and/or Commissioning phases is mandatory

? Experience from Norwegian Continental Shelf and/or international field developments is an advantage

? Experience with project multi-discipline tools/systems (Such as SmartPlant, COMOS, AVEVA, MIPS) is an advantage

? Fluent in the English language, verbal and written is mandatory

? Fluency in, or a will to learn, the Norwegian language is an advantage
