We wish to strengthen our organisation with a Senior Technical Safety Engineer

Responsibilities and tasks

· Lead, supervise or follow-up Technical Safety detail engineering for offshore and onshore projects EPC projects.

· Actively take part in Technical Safety design for topside structures for jackets, floating offshore platforms and onshore plants; natural and working environment design;

· Organize and coordinate Technical safety work within the discipline;

· Assist Safety discipline lead with management and planning of Technical Safety activities;

· Perform Safety Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) on Kvaerner’s Procurement Management team for our EPC projects.

· Lead, supervise or follow-up Technical Safety design work performed by 3rd party and/or subcontractors.

· Assist discipline lead with tasks as required for the Safetydiscipline;

· Participate in technical design reviews / gate reviews of studies, tenders and EPC projects

· Knowledge and ability to use advanced engineering tools for design, simulation and analysis;

· Review other discipline documentation and liaise with other disciplines in a multi-discipline environment;

Qualifications & personal attributes

· Professional qualification as Technical Safety Engineer e.g. graduate Engineer, BSc or MSc.

· 10 years’ experience and expert in Technical Safety engineering for off- and/or onshore oil and gas projects.

· Experience from large project 10,000+ tons

· Experience from international projects where international clients have been partners in development

· Familiar with international design standards;

· Multidiscipline understanding and construction understanding.

· Fluent in the English language, verbal and written.

· Good communication skills
