Purchasing Manager-Mining

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and results-driven Purchasing Manager to join our group. Reporting to the production manager and CFO, the successful applicant will be responsible for procurement of all the materials used in processing the ore into dust and maintaining the optimum level of inventory. The role will be initially based at our headquarters in Qingdao but will require frequent travel to the Heibei mine site, which is located 2 hours away from Baoding City. Accommodation and relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidate.

Job summary:
This role is key to the successful operation of the Company. We are seeking applicants who can work to deadlines, understand the Mining industry and think outside the box.

As the purchasing manager you will be responsible for the following:
● Negotiating and implement new purchasing contracts and tender existing contracts to achieve best value
● Negotiating with domestic suppliers, developing and maintaining excellent customer relations with internal and external clients and suppliers
● Processing Materials Requisitions, to create Purchase Orders on time to ensure that materials are received on site by required date.
● Monitoring and following up on short delivery, performance and poor quality with suppliers
● Management and validation of stocktake process
● Financial reporting to senior management including end of month stocktake reports
● Reconciling supplier invoices against purchasing orders
● Report and analyze business performance regarding the sales and direct costs. Assist in budgeting where required.
● Periodic supplier performance evaluation
Key attributes of the successful applicant will include
● Sound knowledge and proven experience in procurement within the mining or similar industry in a management role
● Strong planning skills and proven track record to deal with high volume and tight deadlines
● Excellent knowledge of local suppliers, the ability to negotiate and build on relationships
● Understanding of supply chain and inventory control
● Experience of JD Edwards or other similar ERP systems would be advantageous
● Proficient with Microsoft Suite of products, in particular Excel
● Ability to work well under pressure and to multi task
● Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and computer skills

作为采购经理，您将负责下列事项：
● 谈判和实施新的采购合同，对现有合同进行招标，以期达到最佳效果；
● 与国内供应商谈判，开发并维护与客户、供应商之间的良好关系；
● 负责物品请购单，及时创建采购订单，确保所有材料都在规定日期到达现场；
● 和供应商一起监控并跟进交货短缺及不合格产品；
● 对盘点过程进行管理和复核；
● 向高层管理人员提交财务报告，包括月末盘点报告；
● 根据采购订单，匹配供应商发票；
● 分析有关销售和直接成本的业务表现，并给出报告。需要时要协助预算。
● 定期对供应商表现作出评估
优秀应聘者应具有的素质：
● 具有采矿或相关行业丰富的采购知识和成熟的采购经验。
● 较强的计划能力，具有处理高工作强度和紧迫期限的前期工作经验；
● 熟悉本地供应商，具有较强的谈判和建立关系的能力；
● 了解供应链和库存控制；
● 具有JD Edwards或其他类似ERP系统经验者优先考虑；
● 精通并熟练使用微软办公软件产品，尤其是Excel；
● 在强压力下和多任务时依然能够很好地完成工作；
● 注重细节，具有良好的沟通能力和计算机技能。
