Main Responsibilities:

1. Develop strategies and processes to ensure that total quality is promoted throughout the company

2. Develop processes and procedures to ensure that there is continuous improvement in all company operations and that waste is kept to a minimum.

3. Act as the company’s expert on quality management and provide any necessary training and advise to managers and staff to ensure that they pursue the objectives of total quality management and continuous improvement.

4. Develop quality targets and measures for all company operations and monitor the performance of the company against these.

5. Provide advise and guidance to the company, its managers and staff on any regulatory aspects of total quality management.

6. Undertake all necessary research to keep abreast of developments in the fields of total quality management and continuous improvement to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position.

Scope of the job:

The functions of the department are to derive objectives and target of Quality from each department/ division in line with corporate Quality Policy and business objectives and support to achieve it which requires;

To support the departments/divisions to have procedures and standards which fulfil company goals for the quality. This will be achieved by commitment to a continuous process of quality improvement and to responding proactively to our customers needs and expectations.

The job is closely linked to the Company meeting the expectations of the Edwards regarding Goals and Programmes. There is a wide exposure throughout the Company and the job holder is expected to represent Quality of the company.

The job holder is required to be pro-active in promoting Quality using the knowledge base to help to build relationships and thereby promote the business.

The job requires:

? Regular contact/visits with Directors Department managers.

? Directing & prioritising the work of Quality Professionals.

? Trouble shooting quality issues in operations.

? Monitoring of Quality performance

? Regular audits of “at Risk” areas.

? Producing Policy/Programmes which direct the business in achieving its Quality Goals.

? Working with high degree of independence

? Playing a major role in co-ordinating & managing product incidents

? Playing a major role in coordinating & managing product quality issues.

? Assess suppliers to keep quality system.

? Coaching managers & employees for the safe behaviour

? Training employees for quality techniques and continuous improvement.

? The job holder will have authority to close plant and/or processes when considered to be in a hazardous condition or high quality risk.

Requirements:

· Bachelor degree qualification in an Engineering discipline with an appropriate work based management.

· Over than 10 years qualification and experience for quality area.

· Experience of operating internationally is essential.

· Language skills: Strong communication and presentation skills both in English and Korean are required.

Other skills and knowledge:

· Basic product technical knowledge.

? Quality Statistical knowledge and experience.

? A knowledge of the Semi-conductor business is essential.

? Able to operate at senior level, including Director level.

? Strong communication skills, organisational awareness and impact and influencing skills are a prerequisite.

? Project management skills.
